BEE CREATIVE

I am very pleased to announce that Reuben Phillips won the Under 13 movement scetion in the Annual Segue Awards.

His art work  'My Family' is a totem pole which was created out of recycled materials.

The Pole took about 10 weeks to complete and is the first work from Bee Creative to be exhibited in the Square Edge Gallery.

As part of our advertising Campaign we have a poster on display in Kmart.  Thank you to Emma,  Kylie,  Ang and Mandi for letting me use their gorgeous children for the poster. After all a picture is worth a thousand words.

Bee Creative is now a member of the OSCAR foundation.  After overcoming the final hurdle of obtaining resource consent we have gained CYF approval.  This means that our programme can be subsidised by WINZ for those people who are eligible for child care assistance.

Our first holiday programme was a success and I am in the process of designing the second programme for the April Holidays. 

Creating with nature was a huge success.

The children created some beautiful paintings and pictures of our natural environment.  The sewing machine was busy with the children creating bags ,using applique techniques, which will ultimately protect the environment as they use them for shopping instead of plastic bags. 

The boys really go into creating their own cities out of boxes and paper mache, it was messy but it was fun.

I  thorougly enjoyed getting to know all the awesome children who have spent time in the studio; Thank you too to the parents who have also been very supportive of my new venture.  I look forward to seeing all again soon.
